My initial impressions of the Poco F1

I am a huge Mi fan. But an even bigger fan of stock Android. So was waiting for the Mi A2 for an year. But when the Mi A2 didn't have a headphone jack I decided to bury that thought.

Then I was thinking of One Plus 6. But the Honor play came in. I was in total confusion. My friend Tony Joseph who is also an Mi moderator suggested me to wait for the Poco F1 launch. Thanks bro, the wait was worth it.

Face unlock-The Ir face unlock is simply amazing. My friend who is a one plus 6 user was really impressed with it.

Speed is also on par with One Plus 6. The phone breezes through day to day tasks and even some
Moderate games I threw at it like NFS most wanted and marvel future fight at high setting. There was no heating even after half an hour of intense gaming.

Ram management is one area where miui has been traditionally weak. But here it seems to very optimised. Ram management is good.
Miui 9 for poco is well optimised and smooth

The new poco launcher is better than traditional miui launcher. Also I like the fact that it has an app drawer unlike traditional miui.

Display provides great colour accuracy and good brightness. Even on auto brighness the display is quite legible under direct sunlight.
Some people might prefer the awesome glassy finish of the One Plus but I have always preferred the sturdiness of the Polycarbonate phones. In that way Poco F1 reminded me of the old Lumia phones. The build quality is wonderful.

Other than the fact that Poco F1 lacks ois and the earpiece speaker doesn't has much loudness there is nothing wrong with this phone. Its a perfect smartphone at this price. The audio via headphone jack is pretty good.

The dual speakers ensure adequate loudness.
Honor has comprised on camera to provide Honor play at this price range. But poco F1 camera is top notch. Almost as good as one plus 6 except in low light.

There is nothing even at 26k that can compare with Poco F1. It's a true value for money flagship priced like an upper midrange phone. It will redefine the flagship killer category. Armed with a Kirin killer Snapdragon 845 and 21k price range it could easily one shot the Honor play and could even beat the flagship killer One Plus 6 at its own game.

The Book of Dreams

“Every few decades a book is published that changes the lives of its readers forever. The Alchemist is such a book. You must read it.” One of my High School Teachers told me these words. I had forgotten those words and the book. But after a glimpse through the PTC Mysore library i found the book. I decided to give it a try and the experience was amazing. Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” tell us the story of an Andalusian shepherd boy who is trying to find a treasure. It is an allegorical novel. It tries to communicate valuable messages to the readers metaphorically by using characters.  Through the story of the shepherd who went all the way back to the Egyptian pyramids to find his treasure the book inspires us to follow our heart and realise our dreams. Santiago is an Andalusian shepherd boy. His parents wanted him to be a priest. But he decides to follow his heart and become a shepherd instead as he loves travelling. He had a recurrent dream of a treasure which he could fi

Why we should stop blind fanboyism

A lot of people are buying smartphones out of blind fanboyism. People often buy smartphones without looking at what kind of specifications these devices have. For example what kind of SoCs (System on a Chip) these phones use. So they buy a device with a bad processor and after one or 2 months these devices started hanging and they blame Android. I had a friend who was a blind Nokia fan. He purchased Nokia N8 at the heights of Android popularity in 2012 and later found out painfully that Symbian OS is dying. Another friend of mine bought a Windows phone just so that he could own a Nokia device. When we using popular apps like Firefox or Chrome he was left out. When we were playing multiplayer games like Clash of Clans and Mini militia he was again left out. Then after Collapse of Nokia and HMD Global buying Nokia and deciding to release Android phones the guy decided to buy Android phones made buy Nokia. So he went for Nokia 5 with a Snapdragon 430 processor. It was overpriced at
